Gili Air

The PADI Dive Instructor Training Courses (PADI IDC)  and Divemaster courses will be conducted at Oceans 5 Dive Resort Gili Air, located right at the harbor of Gili Air, Lombok, Indonesia.

Gili Air is one of the Gili Islands on the north-west side of Lombok, Indonesia. Gili Air is known for its mix of tranquility and good range of accommodation, bars and restaurants.

How to go to Gili Air from Bali

The fastest way is by fast boat from Bali to Gili Air. There are several fast boat companies that do daily transports between Gili Air and Bali. You will arrive straight in the front of Oceans 5 Dive Resort Gili Air.
 

By boat to Gili Air:

From Bali there are many fast boat operators running directly to the Gili islands. Fast boat transfer includes pick-up from and drop-off to most south Bali hotels.
There is also a ferry crossing the sea street. This boat trip to the harbor of Lembar in Lombok takes 4 hours. From there it is a 2 hour ride to Bangsal, where the public boats toward Gili Air depart.


By plane to Lombok:

Lombok Praya Airport can be accessed by direct flights from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. You can also get domestic flights from many major airports in Indonesia. 

The flight between Bali and Lombok is approximately 25 minutes.


From Lombok Airport to Gili Air: 

Take a taxi from the airport to Bangsal Harbor. From Bangsal Harbor, take a public boat directly to Gili Air. Please note that the public boats are very cheap, but leave when there are enough people to fill them. The last boat to Gili Air leaves at 4:00PM, otherwise you can charter a boat. When you reach Gili Air, you will be dropped off at the public harbor. From there, you just have to cross the street to arrive at Oceans 5 Dive Resort Gili Air.


Perama boat

A slower way is by Perama boat, a boat that sails daily from Bali direct to the gili islands and then onto Senggigi. 

The trip leaves every morning from your hotel in Bali. You can book the tickets to Gili Air at any Perama office in Bali. 

The trip takes about 6 hours depending on the currents between Bali and Lombok. It is a lovely day sailing and includes lunch and drinks can be bought on board. 

It is a great place to meet new people and enjoy the beautiful coastlines of Indonesia
